My name is Laura-Jane and in 2015 I started my journey by acquiring 'Certificate 3 in Dog Training, Behaviour and Assistant Dog Training' with NDTF which then led me to exceed within the Doggy Daycare and Boarding industry for the next 9 years. This included opening my first business here in Townsville in 2018, House of Pawz Doggy Daycare & Boarding, before selling it in 2022 to peruse my next love - Pet Photography.

 

For the past 9 years I have continued to expand my skills within dog behaviour and training but also with my photography, I constantly organised weeklong 'Theme Weeks' that would include up to 50 dogs being dressed, posed and photographed, and this brought me an immense amount of joy to not only see how much the dogs enjoyed their time within the studio but to also see and hear how happy their owners were to receive these images that will last a lifetime. Now, I have extended my photography to pets of all shapes and sizes because I truly believe every owner and their pet should be able to experience the same joy.

 

This all started because of my boy, Phoenix, who is now 10 years old and without him I never would have gained the confidence to enter this industry. I saw how much he benefited from quality care whether it be within a daycare or boarding facility but also within a photography environment. He has been the motivator and muse for every choice I have made over the past 9 year, thanks to him I have met some incredible owners and pets along the way, and I cannot wait to meet more incredible people and their beloved pets.
