This guide aims to help you pick the perfect photos for your chosen product, it details the "Do's" and "Dont's" so you're able to send the best quality photo of your pet to ensure the product you are purchasing has the best results!

STEP 1.

LIGHTING

Avoid Shadows and poor lighting such as dark rooms or night time.

For best results; take photo in direct sunlight or brightly lit areas.

BEST TIPS
STUBBIES

Avoid taking photos with the sun or bright lights in background.

Instead, ensure your pet has direct sunlight or bright lights aimed toward them.

STEP 2.

ANGLES, CROPPING & POSES

Avoid cutting out legs if you'd like them in frame, and if possible, also avoid closed eyes too.

Step back and get those long (or short) legs within frame with eyes open, we want to see their beautiful eyes!

For our pointy eared friends - avoid cropping any facial features as well!

If you don't want any limbs (legs) within the frame then be sure their neck and ears are!

Avoid taking the photo too low, and ensure your pet is looking at the camera.

Try lifting the camera to eye level and wait for your pet to look at you - treats help!

Similar to above; we want to see your pets whole face, not just their chin.

Use treats if your pet is struggling to face the camera directly, like above.

Avoid 'action shots' - this can lead to blurry and poor image quality.

Instead, wait until your pet is still & calm, then snap the picture!

A big 'no-no' for photos involve your pet moving around, even if the image quality is good. Images like these don't show off your pet's face and results in poor end products, something we all want to avoid!
